Patient Video: Bringing the Hawke’s Bay Story to Life

Last month, we had the privilege of filming in Hawke’s Bay Hospital and the community to capture the story of how digital-first heart failure care is transforming lives.

The video features patients, nurses, and managers all sharing their experience of this new model of care — one that makes heart failure management simpler for patients, more effective for clinicians, and more sustainable for the health system.

It was inspiring to hear directly from patients who described how easy the Spritely system is to use, and how much confidence it gives them to manage their health from home. The clinical team spoke about the difference it makes to be able to monitor patients in real time and safely up-titrate medication faster, while hospital managers reflected on the broader impact — fewer readmissions, shorter stays, and stronger connections between hospital and community care.

The energy and collaboration across the Hawke’s Bay team was remarkable. Everyone we spoke to — from the cardiology ward to patients’ living rooms — shared the same message: when technology supports people in the right way, everyone benefits.
